A little clarity

A few good questions.

Everything to know before you press play.

No. Fiji Client is a $4.99 USD one-time purchase for one Windows PC. There is no recurring Fiji subscription. A music service may require its own subscription.

Yes, Fiji detects the Apple Music Windows app through its Windows media session. You do not need a browser extension for the Windows app. The player must expose playback metadata.

Music played in Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox. Windows often identifies a music tab as only its browser. The extension tells the local Fiji app which supported music site is playing, along with its track and playback position. Desktop Spotify and Apple Music do not need it.

Fiji publishes a separate presence. In Discord Settings → Connections, turn off “Display Spotify as your status” to avoid showing both. Fiji cannot change your Discord account settings for you.

Synced lyrics depend on availability, and Discord limits presence updates. Fast lines can be skipped; some tracks have no synced lyrics. Fiji still shows the track and artist.

No. Your first successful sign-in inside the Windows client permanently binds the account to that PC and its Windows device key. There is no reset or transfer option. Replacing the PC or losing the Windows profile/key can remove access.

Yes. Sign in on the website, purchase Fiji, then download the installer from your account. Sign in inside the installed client using your account email and the verification code sent to your inbox.

Fiji keeps your preferences and custom background in your Windows user profile, separately from its versioned application files. Normal updates keep those preferences.

This release is for Windows 10 and 11. There is no iOS, macOS, or standalone browser version of Fiji Client.
