A better way
back to lyrics.

More reliable lyric recovery when the lyrics provider temporarily limits requests.

Update your client.

Reopen Fiji through its launcher to update to 1.1.58. Music Bridge remains 1.0.9; no extension change is needed if you already have that version. Your saved settings stay intact.

Respecting provider cooldowns

  • When the lyrics provider responds with HTTP 429, Fiji respects its Retry-After cooldown instead of immediately trying more requests.
  • Fallback lyric searches stop during that cooldown, including searches for alternate versions of a song title.

Automatic lyric recovery

  • Fiji retries lyrics for the current track after the provider allows requests again. You do not need to restart Fiji or switch songs to trigger that retry.
  • Temporary rate limits and service failures are no longer cached as a completed “no lyrics” result. A temporary failure does not permanently rule out lyrics for that track.

Your music keeps playing

  • Lyric retries do not hold up playback detection or song changes. Available lyric timing still follows the current track, not an older queued song.
  • Your playback preferences, custom presence artwork, sign-in and device access settings are unchanged.

About lyric availability.

A provider cooldown is temporary, but lyrics are not guaranteed for every song or version. Fiji waits for the provider instead of bypassing its limits; if the service is still unavailable, lyrics may take longer to return.

Automated regression checks cover rate-limit cooldowns and current-track retry behavior using simulated provider responses. These checks do not confirm live provider recovery or promise immediate lyric availability.
